What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra, also known as "yogic sleep," is a guided meditation practice that induces deep relaxation and promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
This guided relaxation and meditation helps to reduce stress, anxiety and many chronic conditions such as insomnia, digestive disorders and high blood pressure. You will learn techniques to guide you and others through this relaxation practice allowing students to experience a deeper level of connection to the subtle energetic body and unconscious patterns.

Who should take this training:
This workshop is suitable for all levels, whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to the practice. No prior experience is necessary—just come as you are and be ready to unwind. Participants will leave feeling deeply rested, with a sense of clarity and inner peace. Perfect for reducing stress, enhancing creativity, or simply taking time to recharge.
What you will learn:
By the end of the session, you will have learned the techniques of Yoga Nidra, enabling you to use them at home for continued relaxation and self-care. Bring a comfortable mat, blanket, and an open mind!

Your Teacher
Barbara Joseph has been teaching yoga for over thirty years. She founded and operated the Urban Yoga Center in Manhattan before teaching at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she taught yoga to drama students and was an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Drama for ten years. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500) and has completed the 500 hour program at Kaia Yoga. She believes in the practice of yoga as a means of maintaining wellness on every level through the uniting of body, mind and spirit.
Information for our 300hr participants: This is a 1/2 elective course.
CAN BE TAKEN SEPARATELY OR AS PART OF THE 300 HOUR TEACHER TRAINING.
This qualifies as a 1/2 300hr elective course.
