The increasingly popular practice of Yin Yoga uses deep restorative body work to improve joint mobility and range of motion, relieve muscle tension, reduce pain and the effects of stress and overuse. Yin’s quiet stillness is a great complement - physical and emotional - to our other practices, activities, and hectic lifestyles. This workshop introduces yoga teachers and healing practitioners to the fundamentals of teaching Yin Yoga and incorporating Yin elements into their practice. Students will learn how to set up and transition between Yin poses, the use of props to optimize physical benefits, how to modify and offer alternative poses, make adjustments, and some basic information about anatomy. All levels welcome - No previous experience necessary.
