Julia Otani-Caruso

Julia has been teaching at Kaia Yoga since 2012.  She completed her 200 hour TT with Rolf Gates and continued her training with Kaia Yoga, completing 300 hr TT in 2012.  In addition, Julia has teacher training in Yin with Megan Moss, Alignment and Advanced Adjustments with Gina Norman, Pranayama with Max Strom and Cindi Lee, Sequencing with Jason Crandell and Gina Norman, Restorative with Jillian Pransky and Shamatha Meditation with David Nictern. 

Julia views teaching yoga as a craft similar to her extensive home cooking. Each class is an opportunity to hone our palates and season the experience with just the right combination of effort and ease, allowing us to optimize our yoga practice on and off the mat. Yoga, family, cooking and fostering rescue felines are her passions. As a life long student of yoga, Julia’s mantra is, “life is impermanent and change is inevitable, so don’t overthink it - jump in and don’t look back”.
